PURPOSE: The C.H.O.O.S.E. Cabarrus Fund is a mechanism to position resources in Cabarrus County for the purpose of increasing capacity of innovative emergency and transitional housing solutions.

OBJECTIVE: CCM seeks to establish and steward community resources directed at housing solutions for vulnerable populations consistent with the values and principles of affirmation, accountability, and personal responsibility.

ALLOCATION: C.H.O.O.S.E. Cabarrus Funds will be directed toward projects that provide housing solutions to individuals and families who are homeless or in housing crisis within a program structure that provides access to services that allow a household to establish sustainability and regain housing stability.

Qualifying use of these funds may include:

  • Purchase and preparation of property
  • Renovation of physical structures
  • Construction of new space or facilities
  • Initial operating expenses for new initiatives

GRANT ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING: C.H.O.O.S.E. Cabarrus Fund (CCF) supported projects will be required to provide quarterly project updates. The Executive Director will be expected to ensure a monthly report of activities and program outcomes for the first year of the new operating capacity.
