We are blessed by the amount of community support that we receive. On any given month, we have more than 250 volunteers who are the heart of this ministry. Whatever your skills and time constraints are, we welcome your commitment to making a difference by donating your time. Each volunteer job opportunity requires a specific task and time commitment, from one-time projects to once a week responsibilities.

Immediate Needs:

CCM is in need of several volunteer traffic guards for the outside food pantry.  This commitment is one day a week, on the same day and time each week.

This shift would be from 8:30 – 11:30a.m. This is an important volunteer role to help with the functionality and efficiency of our Food Panty.

We are also in need of a Tuesday morning once a week volunteer to help with food pick-ups at one of our local grocery stores. The volunteer shift would be from 8:30-10:00 a.m.  May use personal vehicle or our CCM van for food pick-ups.

If you are interested in volunteering and being an important part of CCM’s Food Pantry, please contact Lorie Williams at 704-490-4245 or lwilliams@cooperativeministry.com

Food Deliverers needed:

We are seeking individuals driving their own SUV or pickup, to pick up food here about 11:00 on their assigned day of the week and deliver to up to 3 households in Cabarrus County and/or Kannapolis. It should take about 1 to 1 ½ hours total. The individuals need to be able to do some lifting (about 40 lbs. max) and carry up a flight or two of stairs (some apartments are on second floors!). The food will be left on the front porch or doorstep, with no direct contact with the household members. Anyone interested can contact Kris Edscorn at 704-706-9897 or KEdscorn@CooperativeMinistry.com.
